Getting your production to set

Film and television productions move on tight schedules and carry unusual things — camera and lighting kit, props and set dressing, wardrobe, and the personal effects of cast and crew. We collect from studios, workshops and locations across the UK, receive everything into our own warehouse near Heathrow, prepare the export documentation, and ship it to set by air or sea — anywhere in the world. You deal directly with the team handling your shipment, from collection through to export.

From our own jobs

The kind of freight we’ve handled

🏁
Racing fuel to Morocco. When a production needed Formula One racing fuel for a chase-car sequence, we collected it near Swindon, packed it as dangerous goods in 1-litre cans to airline specification, and shipped it via Royal Air Maroc — fully classified, documented and compliant.
🎥
Indian productions filming in the UK. We’ve handled freight for Indian film productions shooting on location in the UK, moving equipment and production materials to and from set.
🚗
Luxury & picture cars by air. We air-freight high-value vehicles from Heathrow — Range Rovers, Rolls-Royces and sports cars — whether as picture cars for a shoot or high-value exports.
What we move

Equipment, props, wardrobe — and the tricky items

📷
Camera & technical kit — cameras, lenses, lighting, rigging and grip equipment.
🎭
Props & set dressing — from small props to built pieces, crated and protected.
👗
Wardrobe & costume — hanging and boxed, kept in condition.
🏎
Vehicles & picture cars — high-value cars air-freighted from Heathrow, including Range Rovers, Rolls-Royces and sports cars.
👤
Cast & crew personal effects — personal baggage for a location shoot or relocation.
⚠️
Specialist & dangerous goods — where regulations allow and the carrier accepts them.
Specialist freight

Dangerous-goods shipments, handled properly

Some production items fall under dangerous-goods regulations — fuels, batteries, aerosols and similar. These can only move when they are correctly classified, packed and documented, and when the airline or shipping line will accept them. We handle that process under IATA and IMDG rules. Not everything can be shipped, and we’ll always tell you honestly what can and can’t move, and how it has to be packed — before anything is booked.

Customs

Temporary export & ATA Carnets

Productions often take equipment abroad and bring it back. Where an ATA Carnet is needed for temporary export, we can help arrange the paperwork so your kit clears customs smoothly in both directions — without paying duty on equipment that’s only travelling for the shoot.

Production freight — FAQs

Can you ship production equipment overseas?+
Yes. We regularly move camera and technical kit, props, set dressing and wardrobe from the UK to locations worldwide, by air or sea. We collect from your studio, workshop or location, prepare the export documentation, and handle the shipment through to export.
Can you handle dangerous goods like fuel or batteries?+
In some cases, yes — but only where the item can be correctly classified and packed under IATA or IMDG dangerous-goods rules and the carrier will accept it. Some items can move in limited quantities and specific packaging; others can’t move by air at all. Tell us exactly what it is and we’ll give you an honest answer on whether, and how, it can travel.
Do you arrange ATA Carnets for temporary export?+
We can help with the paperwork where an ATA Carnet is needed, so equipment travelling abroad temporarily for a shoot clears customs in both directions without paying duty.
How quickly can you collect?+
It depends on the location and the shipment, but we’re used to working to production deadlines. Call us with the collection point, the destination and the shoot date and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
Do you work with overseas productions filming in the UK?+
Yes. We’ve handled freight for international productions shooting on location in the UK, including moving equipment and materials to and from set.
