Packing requirements

How to pack golf clubs for international shipping

Golf clubs shipped as air freight need to be properly packed. A standard golf travel bag is fine for airline hold — for freight, a hard-shell case or additional outer packaging is recommended for longer routes.

Collection hours — UK mainland: Within M25: Mon–Fri 09:30–16:00 • Outside M25: Mon–Fri 10:00–17:00. Weekend collections applicable within Greater London only, subject to availability and surcharge. No weekend collections outside Greater London.

Barrels & oversized items: Barrel shipments — commonly used for Caribbean and West African routes — are subject to a handling surcharge due to their size and weight. Please advise at enquiry stage if shipping barrels so we can confirm the correct charge before booking.

Hard-shell golf travel case — best protection. Bubble-wrap the heads and pack towels between clubs. Detach any loose attachments.

Soft golf bag in an outer box — acceptable for most destinations. Secure the outer carton with strong tape.

Declare the clubs individually on your packing list with a value for each. “Golf clubs” as a single line is not acceptable for most customs authorities.

No lithium batteries in electric trolleys or rangefinders packed in the same shipment. Batteries can be packed and exported as declared dangerous goods — ask us.

We offer door-to-door (subject to your destination) air freight to Australia, USA, UAE and Canada. For other destinations, we collect from your UK door and deliver to the arrival airport cargo warehouse, where you collect with your Air Waybill reference.

Air freight: 4-9 working days depending on destination. We recommend shipping 10-14 days before you need the clubs to allow for customs processing at the destination.
