You are liable for storage charges and inspection fees at the Pakistan arrival airport if:
Packing list is incomplete, vague or does not match the physical contents of the shipment
Tax ID, CNIC or NTN (where applicable) is missing or incorrectly provided
Declared values are understated, missing or inaccurate — FBR cross-references declared values against market prices
Prohibited items are found during inspection — firearms, narcotics, pornographic material, goods from sanctioned countries
You do not respond to customs queries or inspection notices within the required timeframe

Pakistan airport handling & documentation charges — mandatory fees payable at Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad cargo warehouse. Typically PKR 3,000–8,000 per consignment depending on airport and volume.
FBR customs assessment — if FBR assesses duties on any item in your shipment, these are payable before release. Electronics and new goods are most commonly assessed.
Storage fees — accumulate at your cost if shipment is held at Pakistan customs pending queries or inspection. Respond promptly to any notices.
