Shipping for Diplomats
Posted overseas? We’ll handle your personal shipment

A posting to an embassy or high commission means moving your life on a cycle. We ship your personal effects and household from your UK door to your posting — the personal side of the move, handled cleanly alongside any official entitlement.

Diplomatic and foreign-service postings run on cycles, often to a fixed date, sometimes with an official removal entitlement that doesn’t cover everything. We’ve shipped personal effects and households for people on overseas postings from the UK since 1998, and we’re used to timelines, allowances and doing it properly.

Postings worldwide — and how we ship there

Wherever the posting is, we get your belongings there:

🌍
Worldwide postings. Embassies and high commissions across every continent — we ship personal effects and full households by air or sea.
✈️
Air for the essentials. What you need soon after arrival, delivered in days rather than weeks.
Sea for the household. The economical way to move a full home to a longer posting.
📋
Alongside your entitlement. We handle the personal shipment that sits outside, or on top of, any official removal — with a clear, itemised quote.

What to ship for a posting

🏠
Send. personal effects, household goods and the comforts of home for a multi-year posting — by sea for value, air for the essentials.
📄
Keep with you: passports, official and visa documentation, and anything you need on arrival. We’ll advise on what each destination’s customs requires.
🔋
Batteries: no lithium batteries in a standard shipment, including inside laptops, phones, tablets and power banks. Batteries can be packed and exported as declared dangerous goods — ask us before you pack.

Timing it around your posting cycle

Postings move to a date. Air freight is typically 4–10 working days if you need the essentials quickly, subject to space and flight availability with the carriers. A full household by sea is far more economical but runs to weeks — roughly 4 to 12 depending on destination and sailing dates, so allow a week or two either side.

Tell us your posting date and destination and we’ll plan the shipment to land when you need it.

How it works, step by step

1
Quote & book. Tell us what you’re sending and where. We give you a clear quote up front — and as long as your shipment is what you told us, that’s the price you pay, subject to airline rates at the time of booking.
2
Door collection. We collect from your address anywhere in the UK — no depot runs, no airport queues.
3
Pack & itemise. We export-pack and prepare the inventory customs needs, so your belongings clear smoothly at the other end.
4
Ship by air or sea. Air for speed, sea for value — delivered to your new address abroad.
