How long does shipping from the UK to Bangkok (BKK) take? −
By air freight: 5-9 working days from UK door collection to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport cargo warehouse. Sea freight 5-6 weeks via Bangkok (Laem Chabang) port. These sea transit times are approximate — the actual time depends on when your LCL container finishes loading and consolidating, the vessel’s sailing date and route, any transhipment hub before the final destination, and customs clearance, so please allow a week or two either side. Transit times run from the date of UK collection and exclude UK and Thailand public holidays.
Does the sender and receiver have to be the same person? +
Yes — for personal effects classification, the sender in the UK and the receiver at Bangkok must be the same person. This is a Thailand customs requirement. A different receiver will cause customs to reclassify the shipment, potentially attracting full commercial import duties.
Are destination charges included in my UK quote? +
No. Your UK quote covers collection from your door, export documentation and air freight to Bangkok BKK. Destination charges — airport handling, government inspection fees, storage fees and any import duties — are levied by Thailand authorities and payable by the receiver at the Bangkok cargo warehouse. We advise on known destination charges for BKK at the time of booking.
What is the booking deposit? +
All bookings require a £75.00 non-refundable deposit to secure your UK collection date. This is offset against your total shipping charge at invoice — it is not an additional fee.
Can I ship electronics to Bangkok? +
Most personal electronics are accepted on standard air freight to Bangkok. Lithium batteries are not accepted on any service worldwide. Declare all devices with make, model and accurate declared value. Destination customs at BKK may levy duties on electronics — declare accurately and do not understate values.
